After seeing Pete Alonso set the Major League Rookie Home Run Record, we were all hoping we were going to get to see one of the great offensive seasons we have ever seen. Looking at this Mets team, we could have also seen that from Michael Conforto, Jeff McNeil, or Brandon Nimmo.
Alas, there is no baseball being played right now, and there are no indications when it can be played again. So, instead, it’s looking back at the past. With that in mind, can you name the 10 best offensive seasons in Mets team history? Good luck!
Howard Johnson Darryl Strawberry Mike Piazza David Wright Bernard Gilkey John Olerud Bobby Bonilla
The 2010 decade is over, and the way things seem, we are not getting baseball anytime soon. With that we have little more to do than to fret about what may never come and reflect upon what was. On the latter, lets take a look back at the past decade and the best players over the 2010 decade.
Can you name the best player at each position? Good luck!
Clayton Kershaw Buster Posey Joey Votto Robinson Cano Adrian Beltre Troy Tulowitzki Christian Yelich Brett Gardner Mike Trout Giancarlo Stanton Nelson Cruz
For some people, this week represented the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. For others, it was the 50th Anniversary of one of the greatest feats in Mets history – the 19 strikeout game.
In Major League history, there have been 19 different games where a pitcher has struck out at least 19 batters. Can you name those pitchers? Good luck!

Looking at the 2019 season, Jacob deGrom and Pete Alonso are the reigning Cy Young and the Rookie of the Year award winners. With each passing day, it becomes more difficult to see how someone will supplant them in 2020.
By no means were deGrom and Alonso were the first to win those awards or any award for the Mets. Can you name who won the first player award for the Mets and for every team in MLB history? Good luck!

The last baseball season to be delayed or have a portion cancelled due to something other than labor issues was 1919. In that season, the Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago White Sox. As we now know, there were White Sox players who conspired to throw the World Series, and as a result, those who conspired or knew about the conspiracy were thrown out of baseball.
Those eight players were Chick Gandil, Eddie Cicotte, Happy Felsch, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Fred McMullin, Swede Risberg, Buck Weaver, and Lefty Williams.
Most player know some or all of those names. That is due to a combination of the fact people are baseball fans, cinephile, or both. On that note, with there being no baseball, we are left to some combination of simulated games, classic games, and movies.
One of the best baseball movies of all time is Eight Men Out. Can you name the actors who played each of the proverbial eight men out? Good luck!
With Rob Manfred’s taking advantage of a global pandemic to implement his plan to contract 42 minor league teams and eliminate opportunities for minor league players, the 2020 draft will be limited to five rounds. With that, many teams are going to miss out on drafting the next great player.
For that, we need not look any further than Mike Piazza who was a 62nd round draft pick. However, it is more than that. A significant portion of this year’s Mets team was drafted after the fifth round. Can you name those players? Good luck!
Jacob Rhame Dellin Betances Tomas Nido Jacob deGrom Luis Guillorme Paul Sewald Tyler Bashlor Jeff McNeil Robert Gsellman Seth Lugo Daniel Zamora Brad Brach
This week, the 2020 season was supposed to begin with Jacob deGrom taking the mound against the Washington Nationals. This was going to be deGrom’s second Opening Day start, and hopefully, he will make it at one point; just not right now.
Overall, deGrom has a while to go before making a dent on the Mets leaderboard for most Opening Day starts. That goes from almost everyone on this roster. Can you name the Mets players who have made the most Opening Day starts at each position? Good luck!
Tom Seaver Jerry Grote Keith Hernandez Felix Millan David Wright Bud Harrelson Cleon Jones Kevin McReynolds Mookie Wilson Darryl Strawberry Michael Conforto
As time progresses, the chances of playing a full MLB season grows increasingly remote. Really, if we get even half a season at this point, we will be lucky. When and if that happens, this will officially be the seventh time in Major League history where we will have a shortened season.
Can you name all seven seasons? Good luck!
Times are scary and difficult with the coronavirus. In an attempt to return to normalcy and look at the good, in this week’s Trivia Friday, let’s look at the best all-time hitters for each MLB team. Can you name them? Good luck and stay safe!

In 2020, the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies are set to retire numbers. That will bring the total of retired numbers for players and managers who have appeared in the NL East to 32. Can you name all 32 people to have their number retired? Good luck!
