Trivia Friday – MVP Caliber Mets Position Players
Watching Yoenis Cespedes launch three home runs in Citizen’s Bank Park, you are reminded why you believe he will one day win a National League MVP Award. If he does that, he will be the first ever Mets player to accomplish that feat.
That’s not to say he would be the first ever that was deserving. If you go to Baseball Reference and hold your mouse over the WAR column on a player’s page, it will tell you players who accumulate a WAR of 8.0 or more are MVP caliber.
