Through their history, the Mets have only gone to the postseason in consecutive seasons one time in their history.  That means the Mets have failed to accomplish returning to the postseason six out of seven times in their history.  With the way things are going right now, it appears the Mets will once again fail to go to back-to-back postseasons.

However, just because the Mets missed the postseason, it doesn’t mean there weren’t some outstanding performances by Mets players who tried to will their teams back to the postseason.  Do you know who were the best Mets players the year after they went to the postseason?  Good luck!
