Trivia Friday – Players Sandy Obtained Via Trade

In a little more than a week, the Mets are in a position where they should be trading players like Curtis Granderson, Lucas Duda, and Asdrubal Cabrera to help the team build towards the future.  This is a tricky task for any GM, and it is a task that Sandy Alderson has not had to embark upon since 2014.

Overall, Sandy’s exploits as a seller at the deadline have been well noted.  In fact, through all of his trades, there are currently nine Mets on the 2017 roster who have been obtained via trade.  Can you name them?  Good luck!

    Pitching is the rage….
    Pitching shuts down bats…
    Mets know that for sure…

Addison Reed maybe the only Met traded for a nice bounty.
Like it was said, let Duda and have a committee supplement Dominic Smith in 2018.
Cabrera has passion, trade for more of it!!!

If Grandy is to retire, bounty too small, let him finish as a Met.
If he could only return next year!!!!!

    1. metsdaddy says:

Mets should be in exploratory talks to bring him back next year

  2. Rationality and Decency says:

    Let Duda go.
    Let him seek out > $12 m a year 2-4 years ….
Tender? … sign a Met starter to a deal, sign Familia…
    Resign Reed for $40/4 years
Do not waste another tender on Walker nor tender Duda
Bruce and Conforto are the only players who can hit in the playoffs..
    Tender Bruce…
    Sign bullpen….
    Or
    Buy another eSports team!!!

    1. metsdaddy says:

Bruce didn’t hit in the Wild Card Game, and he’s duplicative of what the Mets already have.

More than any other free agent, Bruce is the guy who needs to go.

As for Duda, you’d be wasting assets if you didn’t tender him a contract. I’m good with tendering Bruce as well, but Duda’s the only one I’m comfortable with accepting it b
